When it comes to Allgemeine-SS cuff titles, none match the historical context of the ‘Planetta’ honour cuff title. It was Planetta that assassinated the Austrian Chancellor Engelbert Dollfuss, leading to the unsuccessful Austrian Putsch of 1934. The hand-embroidered Allgemeine-SS cuff title with particularly high quality silver-aluminium Gothic 'Planetta' gothic letters. The Planetta name on a black band with silver-aluminium (seven strand) upper- and lower borders. Both ends machined (typical of this cuff title).
Two RZM / SS paper stores labels. A single 'B' rated RZM label for the manufacture of the band, and a single 'F' rated RZM label for the hand-embroidery.
Condition report: Full length as per this type (48.0cm), overall excellent, to near mint condition. The RZM/SS paper stores labels intact.
Provenance: From the Robert Moses collection (USA). Moses acquiring this cuff title, along with others, direct from an American veteran of W.W.II. Acquired for the Ulric of England Collection in 1992. Sold in 2001, and in one collection until consigned into ULRIC of ENGLAND (2020).
